IWCA FINAL STRATEGIC PLAN 2016-2020
Overview
This document outlines the five-year strategic plan of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance Uganda Chapter, a national chapter of the global IWCA network founded in 2003 to reduce barriers for women in the coffee industry. IWCA-Uganda, legally established in 2012, seeks to ensure that Ugandan women are equitably and sustainably engaged in coffee production, improving livelihoods. The plan focuses on strengthening the organization and its membership, promoting favorable policies, enhancing coffee production practices, diversifying household incomes, and improving market linkages. Over five years, IWCA-Uganda aims to empower women, increase yields and quality, support active farmer groups, and create sustainable income opportunities, with a total projected budget of UGX 3.44 billion. Monitoring and evaluation are structured through routine reviews, stakeholder engagement, and performance assessments to ensure accountability, efficiency, and impact.
